Elusive Haze

 
     
       
    The project is located within my house and focuses on the exploration of airflow in correlation to a spatial ambiance within the house. I started with a  cotton ball since its rotation and swing give the direction and strength of airflow, further set the design to a very dreamy, surreal atmosphere and theme. However, through my study and exploration of shadow, it turns into a delirious, horror theme. The contrast between initial thought and the final product makes this one of my favorite projects.

My module contains cotton balls hanging and the smoke coming out of the iron, both adding up to create an elusively haunting atmosphere. Although the size of the cotton ball is small with the change of light source and the distance from the camera made the enlarging effect on the shadow the cotton ball gives off.
